The role of a Client Solutions Specialist is to work collaboratively with Sales, other Studio teams and stakeholders to develop brand solutions/programmes that deliver revenue targets, drive market leading ideas and develop long term client partnerships particular to our Regional newspapers and websites.


Key Responsibilities for this position:


  • Assist in identifying and developing opportunities for the achievement of short and long-term business objectives, to increase profit and market share for the Regional group portfolio.
  • Build strong relationships with publishers, editorial teams, marketing, research to ensure commercial opportunities are identified and realised in a timely and cost-effective way.
  • Support Sales in external meetings with clients / agencies as required, delivering engaging presentations on the solution and fielding any resulting questions.
  • Monitor competitors and maintain awareness of market movements in order to develop innovative commercial initiatives and new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Planner to develop high quality sales collateral (e.g. proposal) that is compelling and aligned to client objectives.
  • Provide support and share expertise with wider Studio and Sales teams.


To be successful in this role you will require the following skills:

  • Be curious and show a desire for a greater understanding of consumer behaviour, culture, trends & thought leadership.
  • Build rapport with and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be commercially aware and astute.
  • A preference for experience in cross platform integration with digital mandatory.
  • Experience in presenting pitches and partnerships.
  • Creative and strategic thinking essential – in meeting market demands.  Proven major wins/competitive share.
  • Knowledge of Regional markets within Australia an advantage.



  • The successful candidate will have between 1 to 3 years’ experience in Media Sales or working within an Advertising Agency.
